There are 5 steps we use that are tied to ethical and effective financial planning requirements. These steps are always personalized to our clients to maximize positive healthcare outcomes and minimize financial impact.

Step 1) Understanding Your Circumstances
During Step 1, we learn about what is important to you and what you need in your health insurance. Are there any surgeries, medications, doctors, facilities or specialists that are important to you? Are there any anxieties or concerns about your health in general? During this step, we also consider your budget and try to find the most affordable coverage that will meet all of your needs.



Step 2) Quoting and Presenting
Next, its time to get some basic information as required by the Health Insurance Marketplace in order to do a quote. Date of birth, permanent residential address zip code, tax filing household, number of people who need coverage, total annual projected/expected household income and smoking or non-smoking status. Based on the options available in your area and the needs discussed during step 1, we find the best plan and go over coverages and monthly premium amount if there is one.



Step 3) Enrollment
The enrollment process is the most in-depth step and usually takes about 15-20 minutes to complete. All the legalities are taken care of: the verbal application, confirming understanding of how marketplace insurance works, client responsibilities, agent responsibilities, and obtaining consents. Your complete and accurate health insurance application will be sent through Healthcare.gov to the health insurance provider selected so that your ID cards, summary of benefits and healthcare coverage will be on its way to you! Also, if any ancillary products were selected, like dental and vision, those documents and cards will also be on their way! We made it! We got you health insurance coverage!



Step 4) Delivery of Documents
Clients usually receive a few emails at the conclusion of sign up. This may include HealthSherpa, Healthcare.gov, and emails from your new insurance provider. At the conclusion of our sign up, your QuotePick Health Agent will send you the summary of benefits for all plans and coverages selected, their contact information and a text message if you opted in to receive text messages.



Step 5) Monitoring Progress and Making Updates

After a couple weeks, we check in to see if you have any questions and make sure you've received your physical documents and member ID card(s). We want to make sure you're happy with your coverage and doing our best to remove any barriers preventing you from making full use of your healthcare. We also encourage you to check in with us if there are any income changes or relocations so we can keep your application up to date.
